Visit Germany

Most people would love to travel to Europe once in their lifetime or at least every couple of years.  Many people from America have great grandparents or other family members that originally came from Germany.  For many of these people, they would love to see where there family came from.  Germany is a wonderful country.  Very similar to America in terms of technology, industry and wealth, Germany is a great place to visit.  If you are planning on visiting Europe, here are some tips on visiting the best that Germany has to offer.

There are three major attractions in Germany, Hamburg, Berlin and Bavaria. 

Hamburg is a great bustling port city that services both the North Sea and Baltic Sea.  Hamburg is the second largest city in German and a great place to go and enjoy great nightlife.  Like most port cities, people are a little rougher around the edges and at night the city comes alive.

Berlin is also a great city and attraction.  During the cold war, Berlin played an important part separating the two Germany’s. Today Berlin is one city again.  There are still remnants of the cold war with the Berlin Wall still remaining in certain parts and checkpoint Charlie still standing for posterity.  Berlin also offers great nightlife and culture.

Most people love Bavaria.  Munich is the main city in Bavaria where the way of life is more conservative and religious.  Many people love the houses and castles of Bavaria.  Oktoberfest also takes place in Bavaria and is the largest outdoor beer festival in the world.  So if you are planning on visiting Europe this year, come visit Germany.
