Depending on what interests you will determine the different countries that you would like to visit.  Many Americans have family lineages from the old country and usually would like to see where their family has come from.  Many people visit England, France, Italy, Germany and Scotland to get a sense of their roots.

Many people fall in love with the romantic images that they see in books or TV of beautiful gardens or the warm Mediterranean Sea and visit the south of France, Italy and Greece.  Some people love beer and festivals and love to visit Germany, Austria and middle Europe. 

Planning a European vacation doesn’t have to break the bank.  Whether you travel alone, with some friends or your family you can usually get a great plane fare and deluxe accommodations for a relatively low price.  Europe doesn’t have to be expensive at all.  Many people spend far less than they anticipated.  Obviously if you do lots of shopping and stay at top hotels you can pay through the roof, but most people can maintain a decent budget and spend as much money as they would as a normal big city in America.  So if you are looking for a great place to spend your vacation, travel to Europe.
