Salzburg, Austria is one of the most beautiful and most cultured cities in the world.  Many people know the city of Salzburg from the film The Sound of Music.  The Sound of Music was filmed in Salzburg over 40 years ago.  Salzburg is located in Bavaria, nestled in the Alps.  Salzburg has some of the finest mountains in the world and beautiful green valleys.

There is so much to see in Salzburg from beautiful landscapes to wonderful architecture.  There is a beautiful fortress and castle located in Salzburg and the house where Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart was born.  Mozart is a big draw for Salzburg fans.

Salzburg, Austria also has some of the finest shopping and wonderful restaurants and pubs.  Salzburg has wonderful museums and cathedrals as well.  Salzburg is about an hour away from Munich by train and only a few hours from Vienna.  If you are visiting the area, make sure you make time for Salzburg.
