The Lone Star State of Texas

Do you love the Old West?  The Old West still lives today in the beautiful Lone Star State of Texas.  Whether you love the days of the cowboys, rodeo, great cities or enormous steak dinners, you can’t beat Texas for a great place to visit or stay. For many people, Texas has it all.  Many people visit the great cities of Texas such as Houston, Dallas and Austin.  There are plenty of things to do in these great cities of Texas, such as see the sites, enjoy the great restaurants and visit museums.

Many people visit Texas because they love the rich history of cowboys and the rough and tough way of life.  You can visit the Alamo which was a fort that was eventually overtaken by the Mexicans after a long and tough fight.

If you love cowboy culture, then you will enjoy Texas with its great country music, rodeos and super large steakhouse dinners.  You will see many people walking around town wearing cowboy boots a great looking cowboy hat and a huge belt buckle.  There are many people that still try to get back to their Texas roots and go on cattle drives and enjoy dude ranches where they can ride horses like the cowboys of yesteryear. 

Texas is extremely easy to get to and boasts one of the biggest airports in the country.  The weather in Texas is usually very hot with some days approaching the low 100’s.  During the spring, Texas is also a fertile ground for tornados and is filled with tornado watchers that travel the country looking for the next big twister.
